Great value when on sale. A low self moise mic with good sensitivity. Bring a short shotgun type the side attenuation is not very strong but of axis coloration is low. The kit has a good protective box, deadcat and pistol grip which are useful too. The mic mounts easily on a camera cage with coldshoe shock mount and is not too heavy for that. It is reputed to have good waterproofing but I have not tested thst.

Would buy loads more if I could afford it

The microphone is great and everything it says it is. I opted for the location kit, and it was still probably a good call because I think the hand-mounted deal was cheaper than if I bought it alone. But the wind sock is way too flimsy and the elastic doesn’t say tight so it slides off if I tilt the mic down. I have to wrap it with a rubber band, or honestly I’m just gonna have to find a better one somewhere.
