BP260 Boom Pole

Kinda surprised it's one of the few perfect sized poles out there. It works, and easy to break down shorter for plane travel as the poles can come apart and back together easy.

I was impressed by the quality of this product, I am 100% satisfied, I highly recommend it.

Honestly I was surprised how lightweight this boom pole is (Maybe even too lightweight?). When I opened the package I thought maybe the carrying case was empty. With the ASM1 shock mount and the Deity S mic 2 it's a great set up. Very happy with all my Deity products so far and this is no different. I'm quickly becoming a Deity evangelist to all my friends who are in video production ;-)

Really like how it feels in the hand and the small size for transport, but if I were to give a few critiques I'd say that first I wish the carry case had some extra room for something like a quick release. The carry case defiantly keeps the boom nice and secure, but its just annoying to have to take it off every time. Also, would love if Deity made a quick release. Another thing that I didn't even realize was something I wanted in a boom pole is non-rotational sections. My K-tek boom has this and never though about how good it was until I got the deity pole and the weight of the microphone kept spinning the pole around if the knuckles weren't all locked. I defiantly find that on set I sometimes don't have time to lock every knuckle so having non-rotational sections really helps in those situations with still being able to control the boom properly. But overall I do enjoy the boom and its nice and light for easy jobs that don't require as much from a boom pole as some professional sets.
