I just got my PR-4 and I must say that it is better than I imagined. Great design layout and clean in its operation. Thanks for a great product it was worth the wait!
I've been really impressed with the Deity S-95 smart batteries, and an indispensable part of the setup is the DQC1 charger. It's minimal size and built-in LED level indicator, make it quick and easy to use. Also, being USB-C, I can connect the DQC1 to whatever USB-C charger I have available (up to 45W).
I would definitely recommend the S-95/DQC1 combination for any sound bag.
Well designed and implemented. Production ready kit that will feel at home at small to medium production sets. Integrates well with multiple field recorders in my bag. Works best for me with manual configuration. I would like to see better auto scanning and configuration as I was not able to get this to work effectivly in a production environment and had to rely on manual assignments of frequencies. Audio quality has been spectacular.
I think the PR-4 is innovative. I do want to test it in the field. I like what I see so far.
It was all that I expected and even more. Its size does not determine the weight this system packs. The only small upgrade I would give it, is to be able to see the timecode on the recording screen. A+
As I was looking to upgrade lavs, "W.Lav Pro" kept coming up in online forums. I bought one, tested it, and am impressed.
Replaced a AT 4073a, which has been a wonderful mic for many years. The new Deity is smaller, lighter and works very nicely inside a Radius Mini-ALTO 180.
I cannot get over how good this mic sounds, especially given its size; it just seems an impossible engineering feat. I do very much like the “beige” color option, and am sad to hear that this is apparently discontinued now.
I had sent in a pair transmitters for repairs under warrenty. Diety quickly diagnosed the issue and sent replacements right away.
User Interface is still pretty clumsy. It requires a lot of manual scanning and channel configuration on every radio, and even those scans don't always see every fib transmitter, so. end up manually entering the frequencies into each radio. I'd give it five stars if the app would take the results of a frequency scan from one receiver, automatically program the IFB TX with those, and overwrite the channel config in all the selected receivers. Should be possible, it just isn't there yet.
I was pleasantly surprise at the T-shirts I received. The quality and look was better than I was expecting. The shirts were received in only 4 days. They were very well packed. The back and forth with customer support which I was asking questions about the PR-2s and this led into getting the T-shirts gave me an opportunity to experiance Deity’s customer service. Getting such top notch customer service dealing with a few questions and T-shirts gives me the confidence that in the future if I have any issues or questions about any product that I will be taken care of thouroughly and promptly. I am a big fan of Deity Microphones and their audio products. I'm normally satisfied with their customer service, but this time I did not feel like my requests were taken care of in an efficient time frame. The process for my claim started on March 13th, and I didn't receive my replacement DBTX until April 22nd.
I was first told that my warranty had expired and was offered a discount on a new DBTX package. But I knew my warranty was still accurate because it hadn't been 2 years and 6 months since my purchase. I kept things professional and sent the invoice information to my agent.
The problem was eventually resolved and my replacement was shipped and delivered in quality condition. I still believe that Deity Microphones is a great company with quality products at an affordable price. I'll continue to recommend them and use their products. Unfortunately, my last customer support experience just didn't go as efficiently as I'd hoped it would.
Had a unit that was giving me a bit of trouble, and the Deity team was on the case, fast responding and very helpful.
I received this product for free to review, The sound quality is great and there are a lot of things that they put into this little device, the build quality is great and having the 32 bit float is always a plus. And the audio quality is significantly better than the DJI lavs I used before. The cons for me, 1 is more of a workflow issue as I much prefer having a receiver attached to my camera so I can record directly into the camera as well as record on the device as a backup, the other main issue I had was that it says up to 250ft away connection but when I went to use this for a documentary at a convention, I would only connect to it when I was 4 ft away any further than that and I would loose it, maybe if I was in an open area and a place not as crowded it would work better but for that case specifically it didn't quite work as well with the bluetooth connection. It did still sound really good when I checked the audio when I got back to the studio. I would definitely use this for social media or interviews or anywhere where it's a very controlled environment.

I’m using these mics on two Sony FX30s - perfect for capturing audio for scratch tracks and when not doing double system audio recording can be reliably used for edit audio.
Love that the time code box has Velcro on the back and a screen. Really easy to use.
It’s tough and tiny. 4 hirose and i love the display on top. Being able to flop the direction of the display is great, giving you options to flip the diplay and put the clip on the other side and move it just where you want it on your bag. This thing is small like others i’ve tried but this one is absolutely my favorite. …Verdict is out on the battery, my mixer kept cutting off and dropped recordings when I wasn’t looking. It was my first shoot with the battery, not shure what’s going on there.
